Tools and Tips

This week we are beginning an exploration of sites that will be helpful to you in developing lessons and assessments. There are two types of links in which we are interested this week.

1. Tools that help you create instructional material such as online quizzes, rubric generators, puzzle creators and worksheet generators.

2. Lesson plan aids and entire lesson plans that you can use with some modification in your class.

Some of these sites describe how to write effective lesson plans and other sites provide complete lesson plans for your use. Use existing lesson plans with care; not every lesson plan posted is a good example of the art. It is likely you will have to improve or revise the lesson before you can use it in your class.

Examples of both types of sites are listed the useful links section in the sidebar.

You need to locate an existing lesson plan that is closely related to your lesson plan and print that lesson plan for class. We will use these lessons in an in-class exercise on Wednesday.
